1. Introduction

Jaimy is a speaking-first language learning app operated by JadenX ("we," "our," or "us"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use Jaimy, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to our mobile apps and website.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Account information. Your name and email address, used to create and secure your account. Authentication is handled by our identity provider (Clerk).
  • Voice and audio. When you take a speaking session, your microphone audio is captured and processed in real time so the AI tutor can hear and respond to you. Audio is used to power the live conversation; see "How We Share Information" below.
  • Learning data. Your chosen languages and level, session transcripts, progress, and the words and structures you practice — used to personalize teaching and track your improvement over time.
  • Purchase information. Your subscription and purchase status. Payments are processed by Apple, Google, or our subscription manager (RevenueCat). We do not collect or store your card or bank details.
  • Identifiers. A user ID that links your account across our identity provider (Clerk) and database (Supabase), and a device identifier used by our subscription manager (RevenueCat) to associate purchases with your account.
  • Usage and diagnostic data. Basic information about how the app is used and technical logs needed to operate the service and fix problems.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the language-learning experience
  • Power live voice conversations and generate the tutor's responses
  • Personalize lessons and measure your progress
  • Process subscriptions and provide customer support
  • Keep the service secure and prevent abuse

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who process it on our behalf to run Jaimy:

  • Google (Gemini) — processes your voice/audio and conversation text to generate the AI tutor's responses
  • Clerk — authentication and account management
  • Supabase — database and backend hosting
  • Apple, Google, and RevenueCat — subscription and purchase processing

These providers are permitted to use your information only to provide their services to us. We may also disclose information if required by law.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can permanently delete your account and associated data at any time:

  • In the app: Settings → Account → Delete account. This permanently deletes your profile, learning history, and any workspace you solely own.
  • By email: contact us at info@jadenx.com and we will delete your account on your behalf.

6. Data Security

We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your data against unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure.

7. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Delete your information
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Receive a copy of your data in a portable format

8. Children's Privacy

Jaimy is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

9. International Users

Your information may be processed in countries other than where you live, including by the service providers listed above. We take steps to ensure your information receives an adequate level of protection wherever it is processed.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the "Last updated" date above.
