1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Jaimy ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our Service.

2. Description of Service

Jaimy is a speaking-first, AI-powered language-learning service. It uses real-time voice conversations with an AI tutor to help you practice and improve a new language. The Service is subject to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

3. User Accounts

To use certain features of the Service, you must register for an account. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Infringe on the rights of others
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Interfere with the proper functioning of the Service
  • Use the Service to distribute malware or spam

5. Subscription and Payment

Some features of the Service require a paid subscription. By subscribing, you agree to:

  • Pay all fees associated with your subscription plan
  • Provide accurate and complete billing information
  • Authorize the charge to your chosen payment method

Subscriptions purchased through a mobile app are billed through your Apple App Store or Google Play account and renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Payment is charged to your store account at confirmation of purchase.

6. Credits and Usage

The Service uses a credit-based system for certain actions. Credits are:

  • Non-refundable once used
  • Subject to the limits of your subscription plan
  • Not transferable between accounts
  • May expire according to your plan terms

7. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by us and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

8. User Content

You retain ownership of any content you submit to the Service. By submitting content, you grant us a license to use, modify, and display that content as necessary to provide the Service.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete account, or by contacting us (see our account deletion page). Deleting your account permanently removes your data as described in our Privacy Policy.

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the Service.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes via email or through the Service.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which JadenX is established, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Where the mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence apply, nothing in these Terms limits the rights you have under those laws.
